Review: Looks like it works! - For anyone who has damp issues this is a fantastic product. I have a 17 th century farmhouse and I have used it as a priming agent in various areas (including a subterranean area) and there have been no signs of failure..yet..worth every penny
Review: Excellent stuff - Really good paint I used it on interior chimney Brest wall up in my attic crows have a nest and it’s been damp with water leaking through, iam waiting for the nest to be removed and get the chimney capped so in the meantime I’ve painted this on and it’s holding up after 2 months so far. No issues not as smelly as reviews say, no problems stirring good consistency the only issue I have is I painted it on a white wall so couldn’t see where I painted and then the second coat was guess work , if I did it again I would paint the wall a different colour first.

**Q: can this be used on plastered walls to prevent penetrating damp?**
A: I'm looking to use this product on bare interior plastered walls and despite some references to this being an EXTERNAL product, the Zinnser website has published this case study of renovating St. Barts Hospital: http://www.zinsseruk.com/case-study/st-barts/ which describes having successfully used this product on interior pastered walls while complying with all relevant health and safety standards.

**Q: Was wondering if this could be used on the floor of the basement aswell**
A: I would not use it on a floor. I painted our exterior yard with it and it wore very badly. If you want to keep damp out it is great for walls but not floors.

**Q: i have a room where we get condesation and have tried different mold and mildew paints. would this paint cover the existing paints?**
A: Look on the web about painting on other paints. I believe it can. However rhe paint is more to keep what out. If you get condensation its generaly an insulation problem as warm air is hitting cold a cold surface.

**Q: Should i use zinsser primer 123 before using thus paint**
A: Yes. I did two coats on a basement wall, no damp . You then can paint on top. I used masonry paint as it was a brick wall.

A very expensive product, but worth the money in GOLD. I was given a £1,500 + quote to stripe and remove the whole complete window wall and frame. As you can see the photos before and after, "Zinsser Watertite Mould and Mildew Proof Waterproofing Paint 5L" not just mould, damp, but the horrid smell that came from the lounge room damp and not different from the Waterproofing Paint, but after a few weeks all gone!! - It was not an easy job for a 61 years old woman, apply the paint is more like glue, so better use appropriate clothing, but the results are amazing!! - "Thank you Zinsser Company, my wall looks like new, without the exorbitant expenses" -
