THe envelope is quite large, so it may be too big. **Q: are these dimmable** A: No, this is a bulb for use in your Oven. Check out Philips Hue and Philips LED products for dimmable house lighting options. **Q: Can this be installed in an oven as a replacement for the "Straight" shape bulb (also E14 but different shape) that was originally fitted there?** A: Technically if the same thread type exists it will fit. The problem however will be whether the glass cover over the bulb will still fit as that must be in place. That can only be determined on site with your appliance. Go for a 40W, not 25W, then it will be bright enough to see through the oven door whilst you are cooking. I gave it only one star for ease of installation. That isn't the fault of the bulb, which is easy to install... Getting the glass cover off is a nightmare.. You will be encouraged to buy an expensive specific 'cover removal tool'... Let me say that this is the only oven bulb I have ever had to change in decades. You will probably never use the 'special tool' again and it will be lost in your garden shed.... Look on YouTube and you will find numerous 'bodges' to get the cover off for free. I put some PVC tape around the jaws of an adjustable pipe wrench (which most of us have in our toolbox) and it worked a treat... ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Lasted just under two years *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 4 January 2025* The first one of these blew in just under two years which I think is good for the money. They give off a good light, helpful if you like to watch things cook. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ NEFF Oven Replacement *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 14 September 2024* After a quick read for which lamp to use I found this one which would fit.The old bulb was a pain to remove but after running the oven for weep minutes then trying when hot the cover eventually came free.It looks very similar to the one that came and looked a quality built item. Hopefully it'll perform well.To install was easy. I put on some gloves so not to get oily finger marks on it and it screwed in no bother.
