Mine fell apart when I took it out of the box. With a lot of messing around my friend's husband fixed it together using hers as a guide. He had to add bits to it, and one of the components was missing so he's had to modify it. The spiral which winds through the core is razor sharp, hers was smooth. Many of the bits are flimsy. Poor quality. Don't bother! I just had to try a couple of apples to get an idea of what was what and how best to adjust it. The core cutter needs aligned so the pins push through it. My core cutter had been fitted the wrong way round.After working out how it worked it saved a huge amount of time and effort coring and cutting the apples into spirals.For the cost it’s well worth it if you plan to do a lot of coring and peeling.
