They are used in hospitals and especially post-op which is where I came across them. They are also completely waterproof, which helps to keep a wound dry when having a shower, for example. Have skin problems where other dressings, when removed took skin with them enlarging the wound area with each change of dressing. Spoke to health care assistant at GP surgery and was given a few of these to try. They are amazing, easy to apply and don't need changing every day, as some other dressings advise.
