Review: It works to soften tendons! - I have carpel tunnel and Dupuytren's contracture; This is a thickening of the fascia tissue in the palm of the hand. It can cause a hard lump or band to develop. I had a lump removed from my palm which also left scar tissue. My acupuncturist suggested wrapping my hand when I go to bed with Castor Oil to soften the tendons. I did and it helps! I found Christophers oil and thought I would give it a try. It contains the following ingredients: extra virgin olive oil, wheat germ oil, white oak bark, comfrey root, mullein leaf, black walnut leaf, marshmallow root, gravel root, wormwood herb, lobelia herb, skullcap herb, and beeswax. I have tried it for a month so far. Here is what I noticed: • Unexpected pain relief. I didn’t realize it would help with pain. • The oil sinks in nicely. I do wrap my hand or wear a support glove so oil doesn’t get on my sheets. • This oil absolutely does help soften my stiff tendons! • This oil also softened a calcified toe and about a months time. • The price isn’t bad considering it really does go a long way. • It helped heal torn muscles in my shoulder. I had a scar there from previous surgery on my shoulder. This oil softened the scar and faded it more!! I wasn’t looking for that but a nice plus! I also tried the Christopher’s Ointment. Same ingredients however VERY stiff ointment. I have to dig into it with my fingernail to get any out of the jar. That is not the end of the world. I just prefer the oil. I’m sure the ointment will go a very long way. I would think the results would be the same. I haven’t used the ointment but a few times because it is so hard to get out. I add a little clove oil, cinnamon oil and tangerine oil with cedar oil. The scent is nice and the warming is enhanced. Without the additions, it is still very effective. I use it on my sore knees and feet before bed and I sleep so much better. Good for all joint or muscle pain. Fair price. I order extra and give to friends who get hurt at work. Thank you.
