A point about the switches, they are Kaihl reds NOT Cherry Reds, but they seem to work well enough. They do have a high activation point. The keyboard seems well made. The macro facilities are not great, as you have to have a fairly long wait in between key strokes, which makes the macro stuff pretty useless. The software supplied takes some getting used to, and there are very few instructions/tutorials out there. No biggy, but be prepared to mess about with the software until you get to grips with it.Here is the major minus point for the UK layout keyboard. It is not possible to custom light either the \| or the #~ keys. I brought this to Q-Pad's attention 7 months ago, but they still haven't managed to resolve this issue. If you want to customise your lighting (And let's face it, if you didn't want to custom light it, you'd have bought a KK85 instead - Cherry Reds instead of Kaihls and red illumination) you WILL have a |\ and a ~# button that will be dark. You can only get them to light when the keyboard is set to all one colour. This is a major issue and one that QPad have not remedied. If it were not for this, it would get 5/5 stars. Because of this issue, I've given it 4, and almost dropped that down to 3, as it really is a fundamental part of the keyboard's features.EDIT I've now dropped my review down to one star as despite repeated contact with Qpad who are fully aware of the lighting issues of the |\ and ~# buttons but they refuse to do anything about it. Also trying to contact Qpad is very difficult, and they do not always respond. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good but flawed *by M***S on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 29 October 2018* Ok. Absolutely perfect keyboard. Specially for 38quid. But the hub doesnt work :-( ahwell. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worthy follow up for the MK85. *by A***R on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 May 2015* This keyboard is essentially an upgraded version of the MK85, the one I got as a replacement for my mk85 that died as a result of a massive spill accident. Cherry MX red switches on the one i ordered (my favourite), in this regard, not much different from the previous MK85 - same solid, sturdy design, built like a tank. The difference between that and this is the configureable backlighting. Essentially, you can set the colour for the keycaps and the background colour (under the keycaps, sort of ambient lighting). Also, you can choose from a couple animation that are applied (colour waves, etc), and you can have 6 profiles stored on the keyboard and choose between FN + the first 5 function keys.The only downside about this is that you need to the provided Windows only software to change the colour in PC mode if you want anything, but blue, or switch to a default profile.
