They constantly go unresponsive within the apple home app. The battery goes down really quickly meaning you go through batteries nearly every month and one of them even displayed the wrong temperature... Apparently in my bathroom it was 300°C... The display is nice and readable wherever you are in the room which is nice when you want to check the temperature at a glance instead of opening the home app (or other smart home app you use). Connecting was as simple as scanning the code on the back and waiting for the device to recognise it. Once it connected it instantly switched to thread and began reporting the temperature of the room I decided to put the device in. Overall I think this product could be good but unfortunately lets down on battery life and reliability. The connectivity is very simple and easy but for the money I'd look elsewhere for a more reliable sensor. Also beware that desertcart themselves won't help you if the item doesn't work. I had 6 defective units and when contacting desertcart they explained there is nothing they can do. Avoid. Avoid. AVOID. Works without third party app, can be set up in Apple Home app. Looks modern. ### ⭐⭐ Unreliable software but good display *by G***. on 24 November 2025* I have found the Qingpong units to be unreliable. They often freeze up and need the battery removed and then put back in to wake them up. The display is good but they drain the battery fast.
