A: It's a soft beautiful material which contains cotton, cellulose-based artificial substances and synthetic polymers. It looks like a soft inner part of a leather material, but does not contain organical skin of animals. Due to these features the cord is very soft and durable, so it won't chafe your neck and will securely hold your glasses.

**Q: Is there a way to get all brown? Or all black? I'm not likely to need (or use) the other colors . . .**
A: It's the set of 4 cords (different colors: black, brown, dark blue and red) + a pendant with a cleaning cloth + eyeglasses bag. 
You can only buy a set with different colors. If you like only black and brown, you can give a friend 2 remaining cords of a different color (dark blue and red).
