The suspenders loop through the pant loops. After the suspender ends pass through the pant loops they attach to themselves with velcro. **Q: Anyone use this with the Ferrosi?** A: I don’t own Ferrosi hiking pants, but I use this often while hiking. We liked at Glacier last year and they worked well. **Q: Are they waterproof?** A: Not specifically waterproof. There is elastic and velcro which doesn't really hold water. There is nothing to get water logged so don't worry about it. **Q: Will this work with a 5'5", 135lb skier. Seems they run large?** A: I agree. They will be too large. I’ve tried different types of suspenders but the clam shell fasteners slip and the elastic stretches in a short time making them useless. These suspenders don’t stretch or slip and are fully adjustable to your size. They are invisible under a fleece or sweater because they use Velcro instead of bulky metal clips to adjust the size.
