They seem to stay cool, built in fan helps, and the throttle control/responsiveness is much improved over traditional stock ESCs. Does not have motor wires preattached, so pay attention to motor wire lengths. If you know how to solder it gives you the ability to customize install locations by creating jumper/extension wires. Comes with one xt60 plug to connect battery. If you are planning to run 2x2S batteries you will need a separate series connector with the correct plugs. I got it in a different rig now and that deal stays 2s which is really where the old version should stay but this new one I run three ass in no problem all day never deal with heat. I will say just like the old one. There’s fan issues like this fan still working or the old version the fan quit working after a day or two, but this one fan always making some noise and if you tap or hit it and it’ll stop making that noise, I suck all day on a demanding belt driven car but it still can handle three no problems no heat issues.
