I plan to use this with a small stereo mic bar (which screws directly onto the bare tripod) and two very small microphones, so I'll be using it without any of the attachments. Not Heavy Duty - The only real downside I can see is that if you're looking for something you can beat on, put heavy equipment on, etc., this is probably not ideal. The tradeoff for such a slim and light design is that it's not going to be as durable and sturdy. If you need heavy duty and light, you might look at carbon fiber models, but for this price range, you'd have to get something thicker and heavier for it to be heavy duty.
