Review: Perfect fit for Squier SE Strat - Bought this nut to replace the original nut in a 2000s Squier SE Strat with 22 frets (full thickness body). The old nut came straight out with little effort leaving a clean nut slot. This was an almost straight replacement, it was just a tiny bit too thick to drop in. The old nut was 3.17mm thick, the Graphtech nut was 3.22mm; it just needed a bit of sanding to take off 0.05mm. Then it dropped in for a snug fit, no glue required to hold in place. String spacing is perfect, and no slot filing required, string heights are pretty much spot on. No other shaping required. The 42mm or 1.65" is intended to fit import Fender and Squier models and is made of standard Tusq material whereas the 5010-00 is made of TusqXL which is teflon impregnated and permanently lubricated thus the higher price. Keep in mind, they tend make them a little long so you can sand the ends flush with your fingerboard. **Q: Will this fit 7.25 radius necks?** A: My opinion is no. I think I used this on a 12" radius strat neck. Check the graphtech website. It will give you a better idea which one will fit. I don't know if they make 7.5" radius nut for strats/teles. You may have to try a 9.5" radius one and sand the bottom to the radius of your fretboard. I have put graphtech nuts on all of my fender guitars. It is an upgrade. **Q: My nut dimensions are 42mm wide, 3.5mm thick and 5mm tall. Will this work?** A: It say the length is 42mm or 1.65 " so that is what you want.
