They are wrapped nicely in a tissue paper to protect the finish, and they ensure that the paper goes inside the hinge, so when it's shipped, the touching sides don't scratch eachother. The only downside are the included screws. They are cheaper quality screws with anphillips head. I would have preferred solid brass screws with a flat head. But I wasn't expecting any screws to be included and I was buying the hinges, so I'm giving it 5 stars! I will buy more of these when I need them! At all. I highly recommend using the same size screw in steel (after pre-drilling) to cut the threads, and then installing the brass screws.
