I left it on for the allotted time. Once I was ready to remove the ice pack, I noticed that it was stuck to my skin. I tried to pull the ice pack off and, it was that moment that I realized that it was actually frozen to my skin. I waited a few minutes for it to thaw out and I was able to remove it. The pain was gone but, now there was a bigger issue. The skin that the ice pack was resting on was frozen. Frozen solid, and hard as a rock. At this point, I was a little worried but, also relieved that I wasn’t in pain anymore. I decided to take a quick shower to warm up the area. When I got out, my skin was still frozen solid. Obviously, there was nothing else I could do aside from letting the area warm up naturally so I just put a blanket on. I kid you not, the next day I woke up and I had a really dark spot on the area where the ice pack was at. I started getting worried because I could feel the area but it felt like pins and needles. Days go by and the dark spot was still there, I went to the urgent care just to make sure I didn’t suffer from nerve damage. They ran tests and even gave me an ultra sound to check on my nerves. After all, the doctor determined that I had frostbite. He had never seen frostbite before because we live in Texas. Everyone at the urgent care was shocked and amazed. They could not believe that the dark spot was caused by an ice pack from Amazon. At the end of it all, the ice pack did work and I don’t have anymore pain but, I do have a $4,000 urgent care bill. 😂 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Neck ice pad *by on Reviewed in the United States July 24, 2024* I really liked the fabric. It was soft and comfortable, but didn’t really need it because you still have to wrap it in a towel to keep from getting too cold however, it’s very nice when you are using it as a heating pad I like the size of it I can use it on a variety of places and it has great coverage. Things that I do not care for that is that the gel or products inside of the pack tends to separate at every fold and they’re really for the size can’t be laid out full size in a refrigerator freezer microwave etc. so there are gaps in where the folds are.
