Coming it at less than 200 pages, this story was such an ease to read within one sitting and left me feeling giddy from beginning to end. As a fan of the rest of the series I absolutely adored this insight into the beginning of Maggie and Aiden’s relationship after loving their appearances in future instalments. Due to the shortness of the book there was definitely an element of ‘insta love’ between the pair, however I found that this in no way cheapened their chemistry and overall dynamic. The tension and suspense was tangible to the point that I felt as if I could reach into my kindle and grip it with my very hand. The spice scenes were written wonderfully and the continuous affirmation of consent and communication throughout was everything. If there’s one thing Chelsea Curto does beautifully is reaffirming that enthusiastic consent is sexy and important. The emotionally vulnerabilities explored between Maggie and Aiden were brief yet impactful, and I could’ve easily read a full-length novel on the pair as they battled their insecurities and found love within one another and within themselves. A beautiful and swoon worthy read that I genuinely wished had been longer, but wonderful all the same. Review: Wholesome vibes - Maggie and Aiden are strangers who agree to do a photoshoot together. Sparks Fly and the shoot turns into a night together, which grows into so much more. I ADORED this novella. I feel like I've been in a bit of a slump and this was like a warm hug to bring me out of it. Firstly, these characters were so real. Maybe it's because they were doctors (like me) but I just felt a really connection to them. I loved the descriptions of their bodies ('flaws' and all), and it was particularly refreshing to see a MMC who didn't have an eight pack. I loved the development of their relationship through the shoot and their night together. Curto gives a masterclass in novella writing, because nothing felt rushed or unrealistic. She also manages to give both characters backstory, somehow crafting complex beings in only 180 pages. Maggie and Aiden were so genuine and gentle with each other. Then the clothes came off, and MY GOD the spice was good. There's something about characters who are so wholesome, kind, and trusting, just letting go and indulging some deep desires together. It was hot AF. This is only a novella so a nice easy book, easy characters and easy to enjoy plot. Plenty of spice and a cute ending.
