I just tested them with command strips. The stronger/larger strips which is rated to hold weight more weight than the skateboard. Because the skateboard is extended from the wall, it creates a moment arm. This peels the "velcro" part of the command strip. This shows me the command strips are really meant to hang things that will have a pretty much purely veritcal pull down, flat things like pictures and such. I doubt the double sided tape would fair much better than the strips. **Q: how many come in each package? Ive got 12 boards I want to hang.** A: When I ordered, there was only 1 in the package! It comes with all the hardware you would need to mount it into the wall or into a stud so you don't need to worry about anything extra.To install you just mount the wall block, screw in your screws, screw the nuts back as far as you want the deck to be and then screw the caps onto the screw so that the deck doesn't come off. Less than 5 minutes, super easy!You need: Drill, wall stud finder if mounting in the stud (or an uncle that just knows where they are at), skate deck.Outside of mounting, the screws have black caps as to not interfere with the flow of your design, making this an easy choice for all design types. I personally have 3 of these with two skate decks and a longboard so it works for all types of decks.I love this product and it allowed me to show off my decks quickly and easily and also lets me take them down super quick if I need to do that as well.
