They are nice looking and work so well. The design contains the heat to a small area allowing for a great "bonfire" experience. When we took it tailgating, we thought we would have to wait to put it in the car until after the game. Toward the end of tailgating, this firepit ashed down all the wood quickly and after 30 minutes we were able to dump the ashes, cool it off with just 2 water bottles of water and put it in the car without a worry. It does leave a burn mark on the grass and asphalt underneath - so be forewarned about that.
