I am a dog trainer and when I see the need for using a remote collar with my client’s dog, I’ve been recommending this particular collar more often. The level numbers on the display are easy to read, the buttons are simple, it has a boost function for more distracting environments but yet the transmitter itself is very small. The latter is important because the dog should not notice that you are holding a “box” in your hand, you should be subtle about using the remote. Another fact that I like about this model is that the receiver has plastic prongs which are great for dogs with short hair like Dobermans which prevents rubbing sores. The prongs can also be replaced with longer prongs available on the Dogtra website.
