As far as I'am concerned this is acceptable behaviour. Use the flatbed for crumpled pages.Like any other scanner the speed at which it scans will vary depending on colour mode/resolution/scanning mode (Flatbed/Simplex/Duplex). The Table below shows the time taken forvarious scanning modes. Brightness, Contrast, Gamma, etc) are usefulfor achieving the best results. For example if the pages you are scanning are old paper, yellowand dirty then its easy enough to adjust the settings to achieve white on black with little lossof detail. The software also allows page rotation. This is useful because you can then feed the pages into the scanner width ways, length ways, or upside down and still get the results in the correct orderand orientation.I only have one negative point about this scanner. It has no paper out collection tray. If you arescanning at say ADF Duplex, Grey, 200dpi, A4 then the scanner will shift about 20 pages a minute. At this rate if left unattended you may find the pages scattered all over the place.The RJ45 LAN connection comes in useful here because apart from allowing multiple users over thenetwork it also permits you to set the scanner up in an area where there is plenty of space away from the computer and won't matter if the pages end up all over the floor. Hundreds of pages can then be dumped on any computer connected to network just by loading up the sheet feeder and pressing a button on the front panel.The verdict 9.99 out of 10. An brilliant piece of kit. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Macht, was er soll, Duplex scannen. Und das macht er gut und schnell. *by S***R on Reviewed in Germany on 11 May 2014* Muss täglich mehrere Seiten Laborberichte scannen und suchte dafür einen preisgünstigen Duplex Scanner.Etwas problematisch war die Einrichtung der mitgelieferten Scannersoftware. Meine beiden Laufwerke wollten die CD nicht fehlefrei lesen. Auch die download Variante der Software brachte unter Windows XP, Sp 3, nicht den gewünschten Erfolg.Erst eine Dreiberaktualisierung aus dem Gerätemanager heraus, führte letztendlich zum Ziel.Einmal eingerichtet macht der Scanner einen Super Job. Die mitgelieferte Software läßt gute Einstellmöglichkeiten zu, dass man die Scans an seine Bedürfnisse anpassen kann.Der Duplexscan fünktioniert perfekt in einem Durchzug, leere Seiten werden von der Software gut erkannt und gelöscht.Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Gerät.Absolute Kaufempfehlung. ### ⭐ Software zu kompliziert *by A***R on Reviewed in Germany on 8 May 2016* Hatte bislang einen Flachbettscanner und wollte einen mit zusätzlichem automatischen Einzug. Ich bin an der Software schier verzweifelt. Nach einer Stunde habe ich die Installation am ersten Tag aufgegeben, am zweiten Tag bin ich nochmals dran gegangen, wieder ohne Erfolg. Mein alter Scanner (Canon LIDE 700F) hat ein einfaches Menu mit Scannerart und Dateiablage und einfaches Eingeben des Dateinamens. Hier ist das viel zu kompliziert.
