This book went into much more detail than anything I had read. And the description by Amazon is misleading as well. I only had time to skim through it before sending it to my mother who has PMR so I really can't be specific about the weaknesses the book has. I see it as the publisher finding a niche market because of virtually no books available on this subject for sufferers, and knowing the disease has mushroomed in the last few years.The page layout is the first evidence of a publisher's tactics- the actual text of the book could have been printed on 20 pages, but they had to turn it into a book so they used nearly half of it for recipes, and used large margins on the text pages. If I wanted a cookbook I would have bought the one offered by Amazon specifically for this disease!!! I'm a cook and my mother is a cook- what an insult to anyone who has any cooking sense at all!!!! We know what to eat and how to prepare it!!!!There is a definite lack of scientific evidence cited for anything in the book; I was hoping to find at least several research studies cited with data and results. I think PMR sufferers will feel like they have just read an article out of Readers' Digest.
