They also give you a tube of GLUE/ADHESIVE presuming most folks today aren’t all that handy with tools or don’t own a small drill, but my concern is if the glue is tough enough to prevent it from pulling off the wall, how do I get it that glue (and hook base)off my wall should my wife ever desire to redecorate?🤔 (A good Engineer always anticipates what might go wrong) 🤣. 2- These metal hooks are very nice, but really are intended for wall-hanging vs door. Most bathroom doors are actually at least 50% hollow inside …. Meaning that all that will likely be holding up both the hooks as well as the wet, possibly heavy bath towels will be that thin (possibly only 1/8” thick in so e doors) outer layer of wood on the outside. It might work for a while, but over time the weight and gravity may cause issues that you will then have to deal with. Personally, I wouldn’t risk potentially ripping a whole in my door surface if that thin layer wasn’t up to the task of holding all that weight in a very small stress area.🤔 3- Wall material is generally thicker (notice I did not say it is THICK …. Just thicker than most wooden door outer layers), and I believe the screws come with plastic screw anchors that work best with wall material. 4- If you ABSOLUTELY must have your towel on the back of the door, I would recommend trying 3M brand COMMAND STRIP HOOKS first, which will not only be removable 👍 (they are strong, stretchable adhesive strips) down the road WITHOUT ANY HOLES left in your door, but they come in basic black or white colors which match pretty much all bathroom paint color schemes AND they will never have the potential to “rust” (although stainless steel hooks should not rust either) as they are made from highly durable, break resistant plastics. Plus, while Command Strips do have their own cost, they will save you $$. I have had a heavy old-school floor broom WITH DUST PAN ATTACHED hanging in my kitchen pantry USING a COMMAND STRIP HOOK for the past 6 years and it is solid as a rock , but still can be easily removed with no holes left behind to hide or repair should I ever decide to sell my home.
