Review: Great texture and marbling - Although New York strip steaks are not at the top of my steak list (I'm a steak snob), I bought the grumpy's strips because they were on promo and, boy, they were seriously good. Thick enough (but not too thick to quickly sear), very tender (competing with filet mignons), well marbled (but not too fatty), moderately priced (but not cheap $10 steak at a local store or some overpriced steaks on desertcart). Just bring them to room temp before cooking, add coarse salt and some black pepper, heat your pan good (don't need cast iron for these strips) and pan sear them on high for 2 minutes per side. Don't forget to let them rest for 5-7 minutes!

One or two minor gripes tho - they came packaged 4 steaks to a package partially frozen while I prefer individually wrapped steaks. Also, one package of 4 steaks appeared to be a tangled mess of cut meat rather than "steak" steaks. It's still delicious but if I saw the presentation in local butcher shop I would have passed it by.
