It is a bit bulky and there's a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. It has vaiable speeds and different modes - from gentle "massage" to intensive "sucking", and you can adjust it easily to what's comfortable and workds best for you. It is quiter than my old Medela Pump In Style, and doesn't seem as powerful (does not extract the same amount of milk in the same amount of time), but it's more convenient to use and to clean. Review: Easy to use, works well - This was really easy to use right out of the box. I loved the way it comes already in the carrier and with clear instructions to get going on the device. Make sure you take it apart when it first comes to get all the stickers off before washing. It was super easy to begin operation and fit in my typical bra well. I played around with the suction to find what worked best, but I only needed level 3-4 to be effective! Milk collection was easy, as was pouring it afterwards. The sound was there but not loud, definitely quieter than my wall pump. The only thing I didn't love was that you cannot see through the top to be sure everything is aligned once it's inside. It was mostly guessing to put it on. I did it by feel, and it seemed to work well.
