A: 2 / 4 ohms...

**Q: Can I use this ahead of my amps**
A: Well not really. This is a passive crossover and kind of relies on the proper impedance of the speakers to work.  The input to an amplifier is not typically 8 Ohms.  Sounds like you want an "active crossover". More expensive yes.

**Q: How many speakers can you run on this ?**
A: 3. It’s set up for a tweeter, midrange, and woofer.

**Q: What is total impedence**
A: 3-4 ohms

I'm not an expert with audio engineering but I am very in tune with what sounds good and have a good understanding of quality. I bought this because I wanted to take one speaker output and convert to 3 speakers (tweeter, mid range and woofer). This worked awesome for that! The frequencies seem pretty spot on only it seems the woofer output is slightly muddy like its trying to do some of the mid range sounds. Overall for the price, this thing is awesome! I only wish you could adjust each individual output frequency, then I would have given 5 stars instead of 4. But for price, this is a 5 star product and highly recommend. If you are super serious about adjusting everything precisely, spend more and get something that allows that if it exists. I am very happy overall with this purchase!
