**Q: Would this rod be ideal for welding a crack in a cast iron kettle?**
A: Probably not. You should use a rod with high nickel content or braze it with a torch. It is important to have the entire pot quite hot before welding and cool it very slowly when finished.

**Q: Can i use it in exhaust pipe ?**
A: No. The SSF-6 brazing rod will work on the steel exhaust pipe.

**Q: Is this an ac or dc rod?**
A: Both AC and DC Reverse

**Q: How should the 77 rods be stored?  Are they as sensitive to moisture as 7018?**
A: All welding rods are sensitive to moisture.
