Easy to use and retrieve. Review: Great Little Anchor for Lakes - We bought our 6 year old twins a turtle trampoline for the small lake we live on but having it tethered and bouncing into to our dock was a bit restricting. Saw this on desertcart and as there's no current here, tried it. It does feel a just a little cheap coming out of its bag but with fairly careful good sense handling I fastened it to the trampoline and went out with our paddle boat about 30' and cast the anchor (about a month ago). It has about 20' of nice quality nylon rope to attach. For the price I feel that it's definitely a bargain. It's weathered a couple of good storms and the trampling it still where I anchored it. I wouldn't take it anywhere with a significant current, but if you plan on using it on fairly quiet waters then I would highly recommend. It also has a solid coat of paint to protect the questionable quality steel anchor and that it's one of my daughter's favorite color pink, doesn't hurt! It's foldable so you store it in the bag when not in use and it doesn't take up a lot of space. For light watercraft anchoring in soft shoals it works perfectly. I use it with my jet ski on the Chesapeake Bay and it's a godsend when I want to anchor to take a dip or moor the watercraft while I take a short land excursion. It packs up so small that it fits perfectly in the small storage box on my jet ski. I use this anchor on an 11-foot kayak without an anchor trolly and it works perfectly. The quick release latch and float is a must for safety... if you are kayaking and a speedboat cruises by and causes a wake, you simply unhook the latch, toss your rope in the water, and row your kayak back to the float to retrieve your anchor after the water has calmed. It wasn’t wrapped and shipped in a rather large box, so I assume it was damaged during shipment. Normally I wouldn’t mind, it’s just a bit unsightly for a Christmas gift.
