Review: Turn any light switch into a smart switch - These work great! They are easy to plug in. Setup is simple with SmartThings. No custom firmware needed they work right out of the box. They are small and they fit right into light switches or inside the electrical box the lights are mounted to. The way my house is wired, most of the lights have the neutral wire in the electrical box above the light fixture, so these work great without having to rewire like I would if I wanted to replace the wall switch itself with a smart switch. My only complaint is that the lights can’t be set up to use a momentary button. if you turn the light off remotely, then flip the switch to turn the light on the switch might be in the down position with the light on. Not a big problem, but a small complaint that I hope they address with the next version of these. I used the SONOFF WiFi devices for a while. My router struggled with 40 smart devices connected in addition to everything else. The switch to Zigbee takes care of that problem while simplifying setup and (ideally, I didn’t test it) using less standby power. The devices also say they work as a zigbee repeater so you might just install some if you have any problems with zigbee devices dropping offline. If they are far from your hub, this could help. I absolutely recommend them so far. I’ll update if they have any problems. So far they’ve been running for a week reliably.

**Q: What's the difference between the zbmini and the zbmini-L?**
A: The zbmini-L is for older homes without a neutral wire. The zbmini requires a neutral wire.

**Q: Does it work and connect to tuya zigbee hub? or a sonoff zigbee hub is a must**
A: Had no issue connecting it to my Home Assistant that is using the GoControl CECOMINOD016164 HUSBZB-1 USB Hub, purchased here at Amazon.

**Q: Do these function as zigbee repeaters for the mesh network since they are powered?**
A: Yes. I use one to bridge/repeat between devices that are too far from the gateway.

**Q: Can this be used with a dimmable light?**
A: This unit is not a dimmer, it will power the light at full brightness but will not dim it.

These work great! They are easy to plug in. Setup is simple with SmartThings. No custom firmware needed they work right out of the box. They are small and they fit right into light switches or inside the electrical box the lights are mounted to. The way my house is wired, most of the lights have the neutral wire in the electrical box above the light fixture, so these work great without having to rewire like I would if I wanted to replace the wall switch itself with a smart switch. Great little switches

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A little trick, poor manual, but worked eventually. Using Alexa as my Zigbee Hub,

These are not easy to figure out in terms of wiring. But, once you do, they tend to work. I was using these to add to light switched in a Church building with old wiring. They do not require a neutral, which is good. Figuring the wiring pattern was tough. In short it is: Line (to the light fixture) to Line in (1st port) (This would previously have bene on the "dumb" switch, on the screw that was not the ground (green screw) and was not the hot (you will need to determine which wire is hot (load) and which is the line Load (Hot) to Line in (2nd port) S1 - blank S2 - connects to the lightswitch (where the Line would have previously been on the light switch if it was previously set up as a traditional 2 way switch that has a Load (hot) and Line (connected to the light fixture). . The dumb switch needs a Load coming in to it (I used a wire nut to connect the load coming into the box to two other wires, one going to the Load In on the Zonoff, and one going to the top of the "dumb" switch. The other wire coming off the "dumb" switch is a Line wire that connects to the SONOFF switch instead of to the light. THEN when you turn it on, you need to do a factory reset, otherwise, the switch will only turn off about every 2-6 times you flip the manual "dumb" switch. Once I did a factory reset (held the button down for about 5 seconds) and repaired with Alexa (Alexa is my Zigbee gateway) everything worked. I would give this 4 stars, but no one reads 4 star reviews.
