The jacket is sort of matt finish, heavyweight leather, soft and supple. A strong zip and buttons, with plenty of pockets make this a highly wearable jacket I couldn't be more pleased with.I bought the black version which is great, and now the cognac version which is even better. People whom I would least expect are saying how smart it is. The value is terrific. I am not normally a fan of leather clothing but this looked the business and was reasonably priced. The product really does look like it appears in it's photo and looks of very high quality, people asked me how much it cost and were surprised as it would not look out of place with a £200 price tag. It is important to note that the sizes run slightly snug, I am certainly not a large guy, my chest is maybe 38 inches but this fits perfectly in large and I certainly would not want to go a size smaller. Also this leather is not the typical glossy effecy shiny and cold leather you might expect from a leather garment, rather this is almost suede effect, almost half suede and half leather, it is not shinny and smooth, maybe it is half way through the typical treatment process? Anyway it does not reflect light or shine and doesn't feel as cold to the touch. The lining is just thick enough to make it comfortable and it feels great to wear. I got an XL and it fits me excellently. I could probably fill the shoulders out a bit more but otherwise the fit couldn't be better. The arm and body length is ideal.I imagine a shorter, stockier / fatter build may not find this fits particularly well for them as to get the chest size the size they'd need would result in having quite long arms, but for me it's perfect.Really good looking, glad I went with the colour I did (tobacco).For the price you can't really expect top quality of the leather, but it does feel quite thin. Difficult to say what type or grade it is. Time will tell how well it wears.One of the poppers doesn't stay shut and a couple of the zips (the one on the breast and the one on the collar) do nothing - they are decoration which reveal no pocket or anything when opened.
