I hang the heavy towels in the center and the lighter items on the outside racks where there is less stability/support. It has not collapsed and actually when I think it's going to crumble to the floor, it's surprised me quite well, how it does it's job! Would i put my toddler on it to check for support? no. lol But, i am perfectly pleased with this rack and I'm happy to have it during the winter months or on days where I don't feel like hanging laundry outside. My dryer broke and we save about 70 a month not using a dryer, so i hang dry all of our clothes. there are some nights where I don't feel like lugging the clothes outside, so I use this almost daily to hang our clothes. We live in california and i was hoping that it would also increase the moisture in our home by having wet laundry drying indoors. Do i wish it wasn't so delicate feeling? yes. but at the same time, it's nice to be able to whip it around to get it out of the way, too. I've had this for a few weeks and use it almost daily, and I would totally recommend this product to a friend. Just don't go drying bowling balls on it and you will be fine. UPDATE: I have used this rack for a few years and it has held up wonderfully, and it still is just as sturdy as the day I bought it! I love this drying rack and have used it daily to dry 2-3 loads at a time! I hand the kids clothes on the bottom and my cats use it as their own personal cabana, because it's like 30 degrees cooler under the rack filled with wet clothes. My cats have jumped on the racks and never broke them. My kids have hung clothes haphazardly on it and it withstands their abuse. I totally recommend this product! I've tried many versions of drying racks and whatever the price paid (they are made of metal covered with paint), they all die after a few months: Welds tend to break, the metal bends and rusts, cheap wheels break, etc. So, I decided to see what better system I could find on the web as physical retailers just don't deliver quality! Their products look good on the box, but once it is in your laundry room, and you need to put your family's clothes on it, you realize it won't last long. This drying rack is just perfect! It is sturdy, it is easy to fold after use,it holds many items (with hooks for socks and undies) it looks good (no, seriously), it is light weight and (I'm not joking, here) you can completely disassemble it and reassemble it if you want to as all the pieces are adjustable. I have laundry room in the building I live in, but I like to air dry my clothes. This rack has an incredible capacity. I can pretty much fit over 30 pieces in here between pants, shirts, socks, undies. Evey little space can be use to hang something. Even though it is a big piece, it folds nicely to fit in my closet for storage. Only cons is I wish wheels stick was metal and not plastic.
