I removed the headliner shell and pulled the fabric off of it, cleaned it up and glued this to it with headliner spray adhesive. The foam backing is thick enough to hide imperfections in the headliner shell. The material is easy to work with and arrived rolled up in a long box, not folded, so no folds to work out. Something to keep in mind when choosing a color: I chose light brown. Dirty fingerprints show up very easily on this and are difficult to avoid during installation. Although I cleaned the headliner shell pretty well, it still had a lot of dark foam residue that gets on hands and easily transfers to this new material.
