It take me couple tries for the orb to stay in place. I found the easiest way to place it in the correct position is to hold the speaker with two hand, shift and tilt it a little at a time. You will feel the sweet spot. Otherwise the magnet will suck the speaker to it's base.Once it is floating. Softly press the power button the Disco light show starts and you will find the Bluetooth device "SC-26" with your player.Pro:-Amazing futuristic look (reminds me of BB-8).-Loud volume-Nice glossy black finish. Base is very stable.-Fool proof Bluetooth connection. The simplest and most stable Bluetooth connection I have ever had so far.Con:-The base and the speaker light does not sync, you need to change the color manually-Hard landing the if speaker tipped over-Sound quality is fine but not outstanding-Mono sound outputConclusion:I bought this speaker for my bedroom playing news and audiobook. It is perfect for that purpose. I will say it is not for serious lossless music or hi-fi lover, and it is not it intended. However it is good for sci-fi lovers though. I've spent 5hrs. On and off now and can't get the dam thing to float above the base it pushed the speaker to one side or the other side of the base no matter how slowly I hold it above the very center of the base as shown in the instructions. What it is you have a magnet on each piece and your trying to get dead center of each other so that the two push away from each other and stay there in the same place. Good luck with that what I have is a Bluetooth speaker that I payed way way to much money for. Not sure what to do with it if it don't float then it's a total waste of your $ cause as a speaker it's sound is no we're worth the money !
