With the widely known and comfortable chrome-plated knuckle caps, these block planes look like the standard and low angle versions of yesteryear. Look closely and notice changes in base casting. This not only enhances the historical weaknesses of the original design, but also improves the bedding area of the blade. The improved blade adjustment mechanism allows you to adjust the blade clearly and easily with the rear adjustment knob. The adjustable mouth is extremely smooth to operate, allowing you to fine tune the mouth from rough to thin whispers. Stress Relief Ductile Cast Iron is precision machined, flat and square. Each plane is equipped with a tool blade of high carbon tool steel that cures to Rc60-64 to maximize edge retention and polish to a 25Β° bevel.
