It was possible to fit the cover over the switch without having to disconnect any wiring. What disappointed me though was that the plate doesn't have any kind of recess or screw hole or other means of location - it is entirely freely positioned. What this means is that it can be fitted off centre (as shown) and to get it correctly centered it's necessary to ensure a uniform size edge of approx 25mm all the way around the switch with a bit of securing pressure on the switch to stop it moving too much when being adjusted. I used longer screws as I knew the existing screws were only just long enough without the plate. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality but no screw guides and not cheap *by F***N on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 June 2017* I recently changed all my switches and then I thought - why not get some of these - especially as the new chrome switches do not exactly cover the old plastic ones.These are good quality, no manufacturing faults in all I've bought and look good (clear). There are no sharp edges.On the downside - there are no screw guides thus trying to make them line up with the switch/level is a bit of a problem; I see versions with screw guides (i.e. holes through which the screws go through) which would have helped immensely. This also means they are just held in place by the friction/pressure between wall/switch - again not as good as when having guides. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Get these ones, not the cheaper alternatives that are out there.. *by J***4 on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 January 2018* Excellent quality. Best of these types of things I have bought.
