The blade is thin enough to get into tight seams without feeling flimsy, and the handle gives good grip without being bulky. It’s rigid enough to apply pressure without flexing, which makes a big difference when opening glued electronics or clipped casings. I’ve used it on small electronics and handheld devices and it feels far less sketchy than cheaper plastic tools. Not something you use every day, but if you ever open electronics, this is one of those “buy once, cry never” tools.

**Q: Can I use this even if my name isn't Jimmy?**
A: Yes okay but you might be subpoenaed under the name Jimmy and that is nearly impossible to adjudicate or expunge later depending on the state so be forewarned.

**Q: Would it work for opening Pistachio nuts?**
A: For the totally closed nuts use " Channellock 424 4.5-Inch Straight Jaw Tongue and Groove Pliers | Pocket Size Plier " if you have elderly teeth like mine and can no longer just bit them.

**Q: Will it work on opening kindle fire tablets?**
A: The tool is designed to allow you to separate the 2 parts of electronic devices to allow you to gain access.  Go to the IFIXIT website and search for your model kindle to see the process to opening the device properly.  They are indispensable with the information on their website for various electronic devices and how to complete repairs and estimating how skilled you should be to have the best chance of success.  It's why I try to buy their products (because they are designed specifically for these tasks.)

**Q: Is this iFixit's answer to the iSeasamo (i.e. do they expect it to be a viable replacement)?**
A: I have not used that tool, but use the iFixit tool every day to pop open the bottom covers on laptops. This tool's blade is very thin to fit easily in between the chassis and the cover.

The handle makes it more comfortable to use than a normal spudger. The downside is that you may be inclined to use more leverage on the thin metal blade and possibly bend it. It is a good tool to have in your kit.
