Although my pain symptom has only been in one eye, I am treating both with this gel. The whites have cleared up, the oil flow seems better; it's flowing better from the one hot compress in the morning, after lid massage and blurry for a few minutes and this takes the strange pressure/pain/bruised feeling away. I have ordered the drops also, as I read those support the meiobian glands to heal and flow better. I am also taking 4 krill oil capsules, 6 omega7 sea buckthorn berry and have just ordered from flax farm some organic cold pressed flaxseed oil. Although the ingredients are not completely specified, unlike the drops which list a preservative most of the contents of the gel are 980 milligrams of honey per gram of product. And the precautions say " do not use if you are hypersensitive to bee products or food gums". So I infer that the other 20 milligrams are food gums. Hope that helps. It really stings for the first couple of minutes and then feels normal. I was sceptical at first but this really works.
