Review: Strong locks - Good solid locks, but too big for my application on the box
Review: Only 2 keys and good luck getting them out of the package - I've had good luck with Master Lock padlocks over the years and tend to stick with what works for me. I needed this specific shackle diameter to work with the chains I already have. This set of padlocks only comes with 2 keys. Since time immemorial, keyed-alike sets have come with 2 keys per lock. Also, the "packaging" they come in is a thick plastic card with molded blocks that fit around the lock. There's no easy way to get the locks out. I used a pair of pliers to twist the plastic parts until they broke off. What a pain in the butt! Won't dock a star b/c the locks themselves seem to be of good quality. Just have a pair of pliers handy if you buy these.

**Q: I need a lock with a maximum 3/8” shank diameter is this locks shank diameter larger or smaller than that?**
A: The lock has a 9/32 in. diameter shackle

**Q: Is this padlock weatherproof?**
A: I don't know if it is officially weather proof or not. Mine has been out in the weather 24x7 for about 2 years and still seems to work fine.  I shoot some lubricant in it occasionally.

**Q: How many keys come in the package ? 2? 4? Also, are these keys easily copied at local hardware stores or hard to find?**
A: 2 keys I think. Very common. Easy to duplicate.

**Q: Why is Master Lock so cheap with their keys? 2 keys with 4 locks!!**
A: Master Lock currently manufactures our locks to include one key and one spare-key in each package, regardless of the number of padlocks.  If additional keys are needed they can be duplicated at your local home center or hardware store.
