My son primarily needed a storage solution for the expensive camera lenses. Something which is sturdy; blocks humidity; doesn't takes much space in the room (or cupboard) and which doesn't burns a hole in the pocket . So we researched and the choice basically was between a "Hard Case" or a "Dry Cabinet". We finally went for the hard case solution because we felt that it had the tripe advantages of - Durability; Ease of Storage & Portability. The price seemed on the higher side but we still went for this brand of hard case because we trusted the quality of products from the "desertcart Basics" stable. Our past experience with purchase of desertcart Basics products had us confident that the product price may seem high but the quality will also be superior to its peers in same or higher price bracket. The product was delivered within the promised period. It was very well packaged in a strong cardboard carton and cling film. In side the carton the "Case" was packed after being padded with adequate protection. The product's feel was premium in the hands, The body is made of strong poly-carbonate material, stronger than the regular suitcases. It felt strong and sturdy, just by the weight of the empty case itself. The exteriors do not do justice to the plush interior of the case. It has Egg-crate Foam on the upper side and 3 layers of pre-cut Polyethylene Foam on the lower side (where you keep the equipment). We were able to easily cut deeper grooves as per the size of our equipment and in no time had them placed securely and snugly in the case. The case has a hard plastic seal on the edge of the lower section which helps make it completely airtight once you close and latch it. There are two side latches and circular air tight lock in the center. The case also had a silica gel pouch which we placed inside it along with the equipment, it works against humidity. I would have given it 5 stars for "Value for money" had the price been closer to 5K than 6.5K, but at the same time I also understand its a small price if it keeps the much more expensive Camera lenses safe from breakage and humidity. I am using my amazon for housing and transport of my marine multi display chart plotter and other electronics and works great.
