You fan it out and it sticks with little sticky tape to the base of your window. **Q: can this be cut for an arch that is only 35in in the diameter along the bottom?** A: Hi there, thank you for your question. Our Arch shades are designed to be trimmed to any width or length that is a perfect arch. If your shade is 35" along the bottom, you should be able to trim to that width.
