It arrives rolled up and well packaged in plastic. The burgundy/wine color we chose is a rich deep color which adds depth of color to our neutral-colored master bedroom bathroom. When I took it out of the packaging it had crease marks, so I "Googled" "how to get rid of creases in a microfiber mat." It is very easy. All you have to do is put it in your dryer, add a small damp towel (not wet) to create steam (I used a large washcloth), set it on "medium heat" for 10 minutes and you will see that when you take it out the creases will be gone. I placed it in front of our shower door on tiles and can safely state that it is non-slip and very stable. When you step onto it you will feel how soft it is underfoot. I am very pleased with this purchase.
