It just becomes submerged. It's not on upside down.** A: No. I’ve tried this typ of float several times and can’t get it to work properly. Once, I duck tapped an extra float to the float and that worked for about 6 months. Then it started to leak again. **Q: What do you do when float valve doesn't shut? I installed it today and it just keeps running.** A: I haven't had any problem with that.
