I liked the fact that they included all of the prayers and readings that you are allowed to choose from (albeit in a confusing sort of way). I think the book could have been laid out a little differently so that it wasn't so all over the place. I got to the end with the wedding checklists which were ok but if you're like me you're well past that step already. The checklists for the actual ceremony were helpful. Then we get to the very last section, which is an example of a wedding program for those that will have a lot of non-Catholics at our wedding. I appreciated the thoroughness of it, but let's be real, I'm not making my wedding programs 57 pages long. On top of that, this book isn't even updated with the new Catholic prayers and responses. If you're going to base your program off of this one you better pay attention or your guests will be responding with the wrong things. And, it cites studies done in like 1989 so clearly this book was written in the early 90's. That is why I am giving it 3 stars. I thought I was getting a current up-to-date book but turns out I was not. So, the checklists may not be the most helpful. But the contents about the sacrament and ceremony options are very good. ### ⭐⭐ Don't bother *by L***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2013* This book deals so much with the actual Catholic wedding ceremony such as prayers and so little of practical preparation for your wedding that I can't recommend it. You can get just as much info from your Church deacon or priest and your parish might even have a book and pamphlet on marriage in your local Church. This book is written by a priest so it is understandable that the focus is so narrow.
