The sound is tinny, I feel like i'm listening to AM radio. Not good, little bass response either.The noise reduction is poor. I generally wanted these for two purposes, airplanes and trains. I wore them on a train and was very disappointed. I wasn't expecting them to stop all voice noise, and that wasn't the issue. The headphones turned the noises of the tran (engine, HVAC fans, rail noise) itself into a low whine similar to an idling airplane engine. I can't imagine them being any better on a plane.
