The sturdy construction *by R***6 on Reviewed in the United States on 12 October 2017* I purchased the Black Genuine Leather Edition. This Bible is exquisite. The leather is pliable but yet thick enough for a lifetime of use. The Paper is high quality with little bleed through. The Print is unbelievably crisp and the spacing of the sentences make it super readable. The sturdy construction, and All the helps of understanding scripture that a chain reference bible delivers make this an amazing bible. For instance; looking up a topic in the bible, like patience, yields most if not all of the scripture references pertaining to it. Very helpful in gaining insight into how that subject is used in the whole of scripture. Too much info contained in this Bible for me to mention here. This is a tremendous Bible and a great value for a lifetime of use and study and deserves your consideration. ### ⭐⭐ The worst Guilding I've ever seen *by R***L on Reviewed in the United States on 13 August 2018* First, I've got to admit this is a "class A" Bible: The leather is excellent; the red letters are nice and bright, and the font is pretty easy on the eyes( and I have pretty poor eyesight at my age). No one could ask for a better made book of any kind- but...After 4 hours of trying to pull apart pages that seem to have had the guilding SPRAY PAINTED on I find myself less than impressed. I got frustrated and licked my thumb to try and separate page 425 from 426 and I now have a permanent wrinkle on pages 425 and 427. (I guess it won't matter that much after having to wrestle the pages apart. By the way, I have managed to pull apart the pages up to the first chapter of Job- page 543 so far.)Once again- excellently constructed Bible but the gold must have been spray painted on.I have never had a Thompson's before, and, due to rasslin' through the pages I can neither recommend it or state a decent case against it. From what I have seen it looks interesting.I do, however, love the English Standard Version(ESV); it has the poetry and "majesty" of the King James but in modern English. That's why I wanted this particular Bible.Maybe- when I finally finish separating the pages and can actually TRY this Thompson's- I'll update this review.Finally, I couldn't recommend this edition highly enough.... I own several bibles in different formats and translations, but this has become my every day bible. It has so many resources with a great readable print. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my genuine leather edition.
