I bought it because I couldn't find a business planner with all the features I wanted. SO I thought I'd just create my own using Tul product. Problem though...Tul products don't have a CLOSURE so the pages would be destroyed in my handbag. So I got this cover, pulled the book out and put my own planner inside. I am using the one inch ring and I put 3 inches of stuff on it, and guess what? It fits. It's tight, but it does fit. I will have to trim the back of the book down, but that's fine with me. How protective and lovely, and the price is surely right. I'd prefer a magnetic clasp, but then it might not fit so much stuff. Love this book. Wish everything I purchased online fit just as well. I nearly purchased another one because it seemed to be a small family shop, but it was half an inch smaller which I can clearly see would never have worked. It has a comfortable weight in your hand and the feel and look of the matirial is just outstanding.The bound paper is of good quality and definitely complements its cover. I paired a fountain pen to this journal and was vary pleased with how the pen felt writing on this paper and I am happy to report that if you use a fountain pen the paper is thick enough that i dosnt bleed though.I bought this as a part of a themed adventuring pack for a gift and it was exactly what I was looking for to bring it all together. And now I'm going to need to get another for my own personal use because it was just perfectly simple with a huge eye on detail. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Slight mod = sketch pad cover ... *by P***G on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2019* I bought this to use as a cover for 8.5"x5.5" spiral bound sketch pads. So, about that ... in order for the standard 8.5x5.5 spiral sketch pads to fit, you will have to trim down the back cardboard cover of the pad; both height-wise AND width-wise for it to fit and "seat" deeply enough ... but once you do that, it works perfectly! I wanted something that was understated and a bit rugged looking and this fits the bill. It is just a single layer of leather, but the thickness is good and it "wraps" around the end of the pages, so it provides full coverage and gives a little leeway for fit as well. Nice cover.
