Review: Excellent - Sometimes I just don't feel like wearing headphones when I'm gaming or watching tv shows or movies on my PC, and I had been using my monitor's speakers for that, which are total trash of course. I was looking for something that would sound better than the monitor speakers, and this soundbar and sub combo is all I could have hoped for, for that. My computer desk is in the corner of the room, so I put the sub under the desk in the corner, and it really puts out some impressively deep and powerful bass, far exceeding what I would have expected. I think I turned down the bass (hold Dolby button down and click the "-" button) about 4 clicks from the default setting was because it was just too much. I was really impressed with the bass that this thing pumps out. I see what people mean about the sub cable's plug being kind of flimsy, but I'm pretty sure it will be fine. It's not like it's going to be moving around or anything like that. The soundbar itself puts out some nice and crisp mids and highs, dialogue sounds really nice and clear especially compared to the muddy sound of the monitor speakers. However, in my opinion the stereo separation isn't too impressive and the soundstage feels a bit narrow. I would say this is more geared for a scenario where it's going to be about arms length or so away from you, not 18ft away from you on the other side of a living room. Overall though, once I got the sub dialed in to where it wasn't overpowering the soundbar, the sound is excellent. I am using my motherboard's optical out port and the sound is great with no noticeable hiss or noise to speak of. I am completely happy with the sound. I read the complaints about the system turning itself off automatically but there must have been a firmware update at some point, because I can confirm that mine doesn't do that. In fact I've accidentally left it turned on overnight a couple times and saw the following morning that it was still powered on. Ironically, that made me kind of wish it DID turn itself off on those occasions, though I think if this product had that option it should either be user-configurable or it should happen after like an hour, not 15 minutes. I totally get why the 15 minute thing would annoy people. At any rate, mine does not do that. I can really only come up with one very minor gripe. This is the fact that sometimes I just want to check which EQ setting I have enabled, of which there are three (Game, Music, Movie). In order to do this, I have to press the EQ button, which temporarily illuminates the LED indicator to show you which setting you're on, and also toggles to the next EQ setting - I'd rather the first press just illuminated the LED indicator and the 2nd press toggled to the next setting, to save me the hassle of cycling through unnecessarily if I happened to already be at the setting I wanted. I guess that's a long way of saying, I wish I could see what EQ setting I was on by just glancing at the soundbar and not having to press anything. It's a very minor issue, and other than that, I really don't have any negatives. I did hesitate on purchasing this because I have never been much of a fan of Razer's stuff to be honest, and I see the reviews that say the soundbar dies right after warranty, or sometimes even before then. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I am really enjoying it. In fact I've hardly touched my headset since I got this, except for when I'm gaming with friends and need a mic. I think this is a terrific product overall, and really hope it lasts me a long time.
Review: Amazing system! - Short review: Amazing sound and quality for the price! Not exactly a 5.1 system, but if you're looking for just a 2.1 system this is sure to blow you away! First things first, I was only looking for a 2.1 system because that's all I have space for. I don't really see this as a 5.1 system. It's more of like a 3.1 system as someone else mentioned. So the fact that it's not a true 5.1 system doesn't matter to me at all. I'm using this for PC so the sound bar is right in front of me, and the second I turned this bad boy on it blew me away! I would consider myself an audiophile, so I wasn't expecting this to be this excellent for the under $200 price range. Bass: The subwoofer literally blew me away, you can feel the air that monster pushes out! It doesn't sound muddy either, I think it might actually be the best sub I've heard! Highs and mids: This is where I was expecting to see a little less performance for the under $200 price. But boy was I pleasantly surprised when I heard music from the Leviathan sound bar! The highs could be a tad better, but for the price you can't beat this! The only "con" would be the auto shut off feature. I don't use my computer for any notifications, so this doesn't bother me one bit. To adjust the bass you hold down the dolby surround button, and while keeping it held use the volume buttons to change it. Lastly, the packaging. I haven't seen anyone comment on it so I thought I would. Even though I usually only see it the first day I have a product, I still really appreciate good quality packaging. Every piece has some sort of tab so you can remove everything with ease. Even the feet for the sound bar were secured in a nice foam pad.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can the auto power off be disabled? I'm tired of pushing the power button when it goes to sleep. I tried the nircmd.exe trick, but it did not work.**
A: There is a semi-official fix to the auto-off feature. See this link: https://insider.razer.com/index.php?threads/razer-leviathan-auto-power-off-firmware-fix.21208/ if you follow the directions it will update the firmware and the Leviathan will no longer turn its self off.

**Q: Does it automatically "wake up" when it receives an audio signal? does it retain volume settings? i plan on mounting this to a wall behind monitors.**
A: No, it does not automatically wake up, you must push the "On" button. Yes, it will retain the volume settings. You will need to have access to the top of the speaker for the on/off button. Then behind the on/off button, you will have your options buttons (like bluetooth, mode, volume, etc.) and you will need to have access to these buttons as well.

**Q: does it come with aux cable?**
A: Yes

**Q: Does it work well for movies and tv? is the sound good? I want it for my 42" tv, mostly to watch a movie and for the ps3 games. Thanks.**
A: Consider the distance! I'd say it will work well up to 8 feet away. Keep in mind this Razer unit does not have a remote. I used it for my PC rig, works the best out of many sounds systems I've tested, but that's about two feet away from me. It says it replicates a 5.1 surround, but it doesn't beat the real thing in my other room.
