Review: This stuff is literal magic. - I’m not one to write reviews, but after using this litter for a few months now, I feel like I need to tell others about my experience. And sorry this is long but it’s necessary. We bought a new house in December, but couldn’t move in until New Year’s Day, so we stayed at my parents for a couple of weeks. While staying there, we had our cats in my dads office because it was an unfamiliar house to them and we wanted to keep them contained but comfortable. The cats didn’t love this, but went with it for the two weeks we were there. Big stress #1. Then we moved into the new house. It’s much bigger than our old one, which we thought the cats would love. 2 out of the 3 took the transition just fine. But our one cat, June (a calico of course), did not take it well AT ALL. Big Stress #2 for her. We were using the same litter that she had been using since she was a kitten, but she now refused to use it and began peeing on our new carpeted floors and pooping in the basement. My husband DID NOT care for this, especially because I was pregnant so he was the one cleaning all the messes. Everyday, all day, he was cleaning up pee and poop around our house. It was exhausting and disheartening, and with a new baby on the way, we didn’t have time for this. We took her to the vet to rule out a UTI or any other health issues, but she was fit as a fiddle. We bought more litterboxes. We put litterboxes on every floor, in super inconvenient spots for us but in hopes that she would be pleased and use them. Nope. We bought pheromone sprays. We bought more toys, beds, and cat trees. We put tin foil down on the carpets where she liked to go and used special cleaners made for cat pee to eliminate the smell. We did everything we could think of to try and make it stop, to no avail. Four months in to this nightmare and we were at our wits end. I cried all the time, stressed by the notion that this may never get better and she may never be comfortable in our home again. It was stressful, and gross, and we had a toddler and newborn. It was too much. Then, as a last ditch effort, I found this litter. It was my last hope - my Obi Wan Kenobi, if you will. But the reviews were promising and I would try anything at this point. We tried one litterbox to start out. Within minutes, all 3 cats had surrounded the box and were taking turns using it. Even June. The next day, it was completely full and our other old litterboxes were untouched. So we swapped another box for this litter. Same thing. They loved it. Couldn’t get enough of it. I don’t know what is in it or what actually attracts them, but it was working and I didn’t care how. Fast forward to now, a few months into using the Cat Attract litter. 4 out of our 5 boxes are now this litter, and the 5th box never gets used. I’m about to switch that one and make this new magic litter our brand loyal choice. I truly don’t know what I would have done if we hadn’t found it, but I’m so thankful that this worked. June is much happier now, we are much happier not having to constantly clean pee off our living room floor, and everyone is living in harmony. The only con is that it is pretty dusty right out of the bag, so I suggest taking it outside when transferring it into a separate container just to spare your lungs from the dust. But other than that, I could not recommend this more. If you’re on the fence, just try it. It’s pricey but man is it worth it.
Review: Worked great for my kitty! - Well I've been using this stuff for about 3 months now, so I think I can give my honest feedback. This definitely isn't the the magic solution for everyone. Each cat is different & it really depends why they're having trouble with the litter box. For my kitty Mae, who has struggled with peeing outside the box due to separation anxiety, it's been an absolute miracle cure! I've had many cats over the years, including a bengal who spent 15 long years practically attached to my hip. However Miss Mae takes the cake for the most anxiety I've ever seen in a cat when left alone. Tbh she's more like a dog trapped in a cat's body! We found her late one night a little over a year ago, when she jumped out of a garbage bin, screamed at us, tried to follow us & then demanded that I carry her all the way back home. Impromptu pet adoptions are my favorite kind lol. Mae absolutely hates being alone & will scream, tear down curtains, knock fragile things off the shelves, yank cupboards & drawers open... Worst of all she pees outside the litter box. She doesn't spray or mark, but fully releases her entire bladder in certain places. Her spots of choice tend to be incredibly hard to clean up too. We had to replace our futon mattress not once but TWICE due to urine seeping too far into fabric. Just in case you don't already know, cat urine is one of the hardest odors to eliminate. It contains ammonia & certain bacteria which are responsible for that strong bleach-like smell that stings your eyes & nose. The only way to get rid of it is with professional enzymatic cleaners that break down the ammonia & kill the bacteria, changing the chemical structure of the urine so it no longer smells. So if you have a cat that sprays or doesn't use the litter box, it's a real nightmare. After multiple vet appointments proving Mae was otherwise healthy, our vet recommended we try this Cat Attract litter to encourage her to use the box. This behavior would only occur when we (myself & fiancé) both left her alone in the apartment - sometimes just 5 minutes was enough to do it - so I thought for sure it was too late for litter box attractant to work, but I gave it a shot since the only remaining option was to medicate her anxiety &/or sedate her whenever we left the apartment. As soon as I got my first bag, I replaced half of her old litter with the Cat Attract, just to let her get used it. Every time I changed the litter or scooped some out, I just added more of the Cat Attract until eventually she was fully switched over. It took about 2 weeks total. This is the method I've always used since I've found most kitties dislike if you change things too fast, like brands of food or litter, & they can react poorly. Well ever since that day she hasn't peed outside the litter box a single time! Not a single "accident" for 3 whole months! I even stopped covering up my futon with a big plastic tarp when I leave the apartment bc I can finally trust her again :) I'm going to keep using this for sure! However I think eventually I could just use 50/50 with another cheaper brand. The special odor of the Cat Attract is the important part, so as long as Mae can smell it, I'm assuming it should work. My advice for anyone looking to try this stuff out is to do the same thing, at least until your kitty gets used to it. In summary this worked to completely eliminate my cat's problematic peeing! It's pretty affordable (comparable to other popular brands) has very little dust which is always a bonus, is very easy to scoop & all around a good experience! Note: If your cat ever starts having trouble concerning the litter box, such peeing in inappropriate places, your FIRST step should be a vet appointment! It almost always indicates a health problem! Peeing right outside the box, or nearby in the same room, is the number one symptom of UTIs in cats!

## Questions & Answers

**Q: I have two male cats and they continue to spray everywhere. I cannot got them to get sprayed until the end of the month. Will this work as a temporary**
A: Most likely it will not help completely. Spraying is a trait that all cats have as part of their DNA. It is usually more pronounced in males. It tells other cats this is mine..but getting the catneutered should help. And you have to get a product that will get rid of the spray they have done. I have a female cat that at 6 months started acting like a boy. Since I moved and no more feral cats she seems to have stopped. My best advice is for you to check out Jackson Galaxy's web site. He's the guy with the TV show..the cat whisperer. This is something he deals with a lot. Good luck

**Q: Does this product help with sudden spraying episodes?**
A: My cat was literally no longer using his box at all. He was spraying all over the house. When I moved to an apartment, I knew I had to do something, so I tried this litter. In almost a year, he has sprayed outside of the box three times, and that was in the first few months. He has had ZERO accidents in probably 7 or 8 months. This stuff has been miraculous, in our case.

**Q: I currently use Petco Crystal Litter (the white 'salt-like') with blue specks....can I use this with that litter?**
A: Hi Debbie. I am not familiar with the litter you use but I will say that I use a pine formula litter with this mixed in & heavily sprinkled over the top. I only do this because I feel the pine really reduces the odors. You may want to check out Cat Attract's other products because I think they sell something that can be sprinkled into litter but not positive on this. I LOVE Cat Attract & I can't recommend this brand enough! It solved all our cat's problems!!

**Q: How does the clumping compare to World's Best Cat Litter?**
A: We have used both. We do like the World's Best Cat Litter. It clumps just fine. However, one of our older cats stopped using the litter box. We had her checked out by the vet and there was no medical problem, so we researched solutions and decided to try Cat Attract. It has worked beautifully. The difference I noticed is that Cat Attract is much heavier and our cat with a problem likes to scratch and really cover her droppings. She definitely likes Cat Attract. Been using it for about 6 weeks now and no accidents! Cat Attract clumps in a tighter mass than World's Best. On the down side it is twice as expensive. If you are only concerned with clumping- I think World's Best is a better buy. Good Luck.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worth it

I will never use another litter, pair this with an automatic litter box? No smell if you stay on emptying the tray every couple of days. I moved back in with my dad a coupke months back. He also has a cat who notoriously poops outside of his litter box and on his bedding if his box isnt spotless, not just unused but the box actually scrubbed. I switched him to this litter? And he is fine for 2 or 3 uses until he reverts to his old ways. Hes 18 and I havent yet found an automatic litter box he can get into with his arthritis. But I ALWAYS and will always recommend this litter, not just because of the attract but its the only litter brand I have ever found that delivers on the contained smell, and is not scented as I cant stand scented cat litter (it increases the smell of cat pee for me, its like someone putting on perfume after not bathing for two weeks, you smell worse not better) definitely worth paying for, especially if you use an automatic litter box as that cuts down on waste (also worth the investment)
