I don't reheat coffee in microwave as the minerals in the water & coffee oils tend to "turn" & cause my coffee to have a bitter finish. My friend saw my NeoCasa coffee press also bought it. (I love coffee). It looks very sleek in the black ceramic and the wood feels like very good quality and shaping. The rubber creates a clean seal against the ceramic. It does the job perfectly and it's overall super satisfying to use. It gives a nice laidback experience to making coffee and forces you to take your time and enjoy the process. The coffee storage jar is a strong plus. I never looked at the price since it was a gift, but viewing this as an investment in a durable product which survives being used every day, I could see this being good value for money for most people.The press itself can be stiff occasionally on the way up but for me, this only adds value to it. It's as difficult to clean as any press on the market of this design would be so I have zero complaints here.
