The part is specifically for YPAO and that's the job it does. Tip: Use a tripod when running the calibration tests. **Q: Will this work with non aventage models i.e. rx-v775wa?** A: Your RX-V775 will likely accept the input from this mic, but I don’t know how much the response curve differs from the mic model originally supplied with your receiver. It might work fine, but I recommend trying to get the mic that came with your receiver to be sure. It works as expected, but YPAO from what I've experienced just doesn't do much of anything good. It's accurate with speaker distance but that's about it.
