The waterproof unit can be used in any weather conditions and will continue to work normally after complete submersion in water. This scope is lightweight and compact yet extremely powerful. Spotting scopes are designed to let you view distant objects as if they were close-up. Unlike a binocular, a spotting scope generally offers a more stable foundation, with magnification power more like that of a telescope. In addition to our line of high-powered spotting scopes, Yukon Optics now offers high quality optics in a more affordable line. Designed and manufactured with Yukon's high quality optics standards, this model offers a Newtonian refractor system that allows the surprisingly small 9 inch variable power 20-50x50 scope to be easily packed away during long hikes or camping trips. As with all our scopes, the 20-50x50 scope is encased in Yukon's original rubber armored body to ensure durability. Full-featured optics allow perfect image quality in all weather conditions, and this waterproof model is great for boating uses or if you're spotting duck or other waterfowl.
