Great value for money and works a treat!
Was easy to find amongst the others after successful search and review reading. This is a great value whetstone, with high grade dual sided stone sharpening surfaces. It came with a flattening stone too, so this enables you to keep the sharpening surface as flat as possible. The instructions are very simple and after soaking in water for 5+ mins I began to use the lower graded side first. It is quite a messy so I would suggest putting a large cloth under the whetstone, but after a few cycles of 5 mins I got the hang of it. First time using this type of sharpening method as my inaugural paring knife was particularly bad. I did exactly as instructions set out and repeated it a few times due to the nature of the blade I was bringing back to life. The silicon covers stop it from slipping and having two means you can swap surfaces quickly. I was surprised how quickly it brings blunt knives back to life my blade is now 90% better than it was before. I will return to it later to make it 99.9% back to life. I would recommend a blade angle for novices as this allow the blade to remain at 30 degrees (but not essential). You won't be disappointed as it does exactly what it says. A great value, easy-to-use whetstone.

Excellent Stones, great value
I have a set of Zwilling knifes, and wanting a stone set to keep them in sharp condition, after reading and review several stones i decided on the Whetstone Set, KUNQUN 3000 8000 Sharpening Stones, 1 for lots of excellent reviews, even though i have never heard of the KUNQUN brand, 2, I was willing to give it a go, this is a great product, easy to use and brings the knifes back to factory sharpness in a few minutes, I watched a couple of online teaching videos on how to use the stones correctly, there are load available. I can only recommend this KUNQUN from my own personal amateur experience, and it worked for me, there is a fully Amazon returns policy, so it was peace of mind also. There are way more expensive stones available, and I am sure branding has alot to do with this, but the KUNQUN brand worked for me. Happy Sharpening, watch the fingers afterwards, you will be astonished.

Quality Product Reasonably Priced.
Kunqun 3000 8000 WhetstoneHaving never tried to sharpen my chisels and knives myself before I thought I would give it a go so I purchased the Kunqun 3000 8000 Whetstone. On my first attempt, I sharpened my woodworking chisels in conjunction with a honing guide. The results for a first attempt were superb. I now have very sharp chisels. The stone was made very well and also came packaged with rubber feet to stop the stone slipping and a flattening stone to keep it true. There were basic instructions supplied with the stone which was helpful and the cost of the whetstone was very reasonable Overall I would highly recommend this Whetstone

Great stone, just be aware of the grit statement.
This is a great stone, I've been using it for a while now. There is a challenge however in the KunQun grit rating, it doesn't seem to to consistent across their products.I bought a 400-1000 and bought this to get my knives even sharper - it did that but not in the way I thought. The 3000 grit on this stone is the roughest of the grits, on this stone or the other stone. This makes no sense in placing it, however it is exactly what you need to put a new edge on a dull knife, it takes little to no time and is I needed before using any of the other sides.I'd highly reccomend this, just be aware of how it stacks up to other stones, use your finger to tell the grit or the feel of your knife against a surface, not their rating systems.Highly reccomended, my knives are super sharp now.

Great quality stone that produced a very sharp knife
The grit combination on this stone is excellent for sharpening and finishing knives, to give an incredibly sharp blade. I already had a coarser stone but I wish I didn't so I could get one from this brand/manufacturer. The main think I love is the rubber/silicone stand this comes with, which my old stone didn't have. It makes it much easier to use without slipping and I think helps achieve a better result. Overall if feels good quality and I expect to keep using it for a while. I've not used the fix stone yet, but I imagine it will be handy in extending the useful life of my whetstone. Oh, also, it was much better value than many of the others I looked at so I am very happy.

Inaccurate grit ratings but sturdy.
While the stone itself seems well made I'm a little disappointed in it's performance. I don't think for a second that it's a true 3000/8000 grit stone. The 3000 feels more course than some of my 1000 grit stones and the 8000 feels closer to 4000. It certainly doesn't finish my edges as well as some of my other stones that are actually courser. The addition of a flatting stone is a nice touch though and I recommend using it before the first use to ensure the stone is flat and any oil or debris from the factory is removed. In conclusion it's a fairly good stone but the grit ratings are far from accurate.

Perfect addition to a sharpening system
So far I haven't found any faults with this sharpening stone. I have been looking for this exact kind of product to complete the sharpening system I use for chisels and plane irons and this is it. Just about wide enough to sharpen no 5 & 1/2 size plane irons. They are lovely quality, simple as anything to use, appear as though they will be quite durable and produce a beautiful finely polished and honed edge that is razor sharp.I honestly can't find any fault with these sharpening stones yet.I will admit that I haven't used them for sharpening knives yet but based on my experience so far, I imagine they will be perfect to get a really fine edge.I highly recommend this product.
